We recommend to use http:// protocol for different repositories, 
and rsync:// for large files, like iso images.

If you need full CD or DVD image of debian, you can build with jigdo utility
(it's versions for various OS'es are located at http://ftp.mgts.by/pub/jigdo/)
and jigdo-files (located at http://ftp.mgts.by/debian-cd/)
